Cerizza 1946

The history of the Cerizza family is inextricably linked to the world of perfumery. It is a story that begins in the Second Postwar period, years of reconstruction and new enthusiasm, of the rebirth of taste and beauty. It was born in 1946 in Milan, where Aurelio Cerizza, one of the pioneers of the industry, began importing raw materials from France and creating fragrances.

This world is beginning to fascinate Aurelio’s four sons Gianluigi, Guido, Maurizio and Paolo. In their visits to their father’s factory, they see the distillation facilities, the vaults where the most precious raw materials with fascinating names are kept: Absolute and Essence of Bulgarian Rose, Absolute of Jasmine, Butter of Iris.

In 1966 the first two sons Gianluigi and Guido joined the company, followed later by younger sons Maurizio and Paolo.

The story continued for decades until the third generation joined the company at the beginning of the second millennium: Cristiano and Nicolò, sons of Guido, Roberta, daughter of Paolo, and Martino son of Maurizio.

Even today, the Cerizza family still stands out in the Italian perfumery scene for its proactive capacity and originality of its creations. Thanks to the great experience and knowledge of the subject, it guarantees original and refined products, examples of the “Made in Italy” quality in the world. Preserving the artisanal tradition of a perfume-making family with the new demands of today’s markets and consumers is the goal of this new episode in a constantly evolving story.
